The Role
Very enjoyable with a good exposure to different types of experience
Good support from team and colleagues
Regular 1-1 meetings with line manager to catch up and speak about progress
This fluctuated in the first half of the placement, some days were busy and some were not. In the second half of the placement when you get your teeth into things and are given more responsibility I found myself really busy.
I was given a good amount of responsibility
They will be very useful, not only knowledge of processes etc. but also developed personal skills
The Company
Very formal in head office, but you get to know everyone and everyone is friendly
Placement was well organised with a variety of core training with opportunities for further training
I would say the company did invest in the placement students with a broad training program set up for them, paid for CSCS card etc and encouraged further training. Students are also encouraged to visit each others projects.

The Culture
Yes the placement students get to know each other and regularly went out for drinks etc
I lived at home so only paid for travel into London which is quite expensive, but you get paid enough to cover it. Socialising is good in London.
