The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my year with Faurecia. I enjoyed all of the activities I was involved in and the people I worked with were great. I would not have changed anything about my placement.
I always felt valued by my colleagues, they genuinely appreciated the work I was doing. They would often tell me that I was doing a great job and would thank me for the work I was doing. I always felt like a valued part of the team.
Whenever I needed the support from my manager she was always on hand to help me. This at times could be quite difficult as we would both travel. However, whenever we were not in the same place she would always tell me to call if I ever needed her guidance. She would be on the other end of the telephone whenever needed.
Due to the nature of the role there were times when I was very busy and times where it was a little quieter. However, I believe there was a perfect balance. I was involved in a variety of tasks that kept the role exciting and enjoyable.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement as I was given my own projects to coordinate. As part of the UK team, my projects would be effective UK wide. I enjoyed the responsibility I was given and learnt a great deal throughout the year due to this.
The skills I have developed during my placement have been invaluable, I believe the skills I have developed will support me in my final year of university. I will never forget the skills I have learnt at Faurecia. I believe my placement has created a great foundation for my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere was great in my office. There was a perfect balance of chat and we were always able to have fun (whilst getting on with our daily tasks). Christmas was a particular highlight as we were able to decorate the office, and have a Christmas meal together. We would always have a constant stream of cake each time there was a birthday (which seemed to be every week!!)
I feel the placement was very well organised. At the start of placement all of the students were given a two day induction at a luxury hotel giving us the chance to meet the different teams and learn the essential skills which would support my placement. I was also told at the start of my placement all the tasks I would be involved in and was given structured feedback on my work.
I attended many training events via teleconf to develop my skills in using various software. I also attended training which related to the HR function which was great. The team committed a lot of time to my development and taught me a lot of essential skills needed in the function of HR.

National Travel
Faurecia provide a lot of future employment prospects both nationally and internationally. I would not hesitate to return to Faurecia!
The Culture
Myself and the fellow placement students would often go out after work or on a weekend. Whether this be heading into town or simply going for tea together.
I lived at home, however, the area is not expensive.
There were a few organised events/activities which were really fun.
