  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I learned a lot of interesting material and engaged in exciting work.

  • Although the team was very busy and under pressure they always tried to make time to explain things to me.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The idea is that you try as much without guidance and support from line manager and only if you have exhausted all other options.

  • Very busy towards the beginning but once you get into a routine you ''feel'' less busy although you are still doing the same amount of work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given responsibility as if I was a permanent member of the team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned and developed a very wide range of skills but with particular emphasis on communication. This is critical in banking and as a result I feel more confident and articulate in my communication.

  • Although everyone is very busy working on their own deals, there is always laughter and most of the time a relaxed atmosphere.

  • Well structured and very well organised.

  • We had 2 initial days of training prior to the internship. There are also a range of training sessions hosted during the internship.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Many events were organised to get to know my fellow colleagues and it was always in a friendly setting.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Canary wharf is probably slightly more expensive than anywhere else but pretty close to central london prices.

  • Loads of pubs and bars minutes away from the office.

  • A wide range of sport activities as well as volunteering activities.
