    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the Audit internship. I was given more responsibility than expected and enjoyed the challenge. However, I felt that if placed on a job that was nearing the final stages, there was little I could do and left doing only a small amount of work.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • In longer jobs I felt very valued.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • By supervisors on the job I was given loads of support, and they spent time with me to understand the general principles behind the tasks I was assigned.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • How busy I was depended very much on which job I was placed on and watch stage it was in the audit process. As I was moved around on different jobs this varied quite a lot, however some days were spent doing little work and seemed very long.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given work a first year graduate and beyond would have done.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Gained an overview of the Audit process and how to do basic tasks. This will help me if I continue in the area after university, but even if I don't, I have gained a wide view of industry and developed many skills I can use in any job I move into.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Relaxed and friendly,

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Set up well - teams that are going to have interns on should be told prior to the day before so they can set aside work.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • All members of staff seemed to be happy to give up their time to help you understand and more senior staff were keen to check you were okay.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • Really considering staying on or applying for a job within the company.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • Within the time I was there, there was at least 2 company events and a few lunches or dinners with smaller groups of staff.
