The Role
There are times when I hated the intership and times when I really love ewverything about it. It pushes you to the limited but you grow so, so, much. I've done it 3 years in a row and I am going back for a 4th summer. But honestly, it's really tough!
I get daily recognition
I had a daily conversation from my manager to make sure i was still good and keep me on track. Additionally a weekly meeting to unload any stress.
Busy every moment of every day. Very challenging. However got to do at least one awesome activty on a sunday, whitewater rafting, baseball game, BBQ etc. Made loads of friends for life and was alot of fun.
I, and I alone was responsible for my summer. MY SUCCESS WAS UP TO ME AND i LOVED THAT!!! Got paid what I was worth.
I am better person because of the internship
The Company
I did not step inside an office, didnt get anyone coffee, didnt type up notes. I RAN MY OWN BUSINESS :)
Been going 155 years. They know how to do it.
If I didn't do well they didnt make money from me. So it was in their interest to help me do well.
