The Role
I really enjoyed my internship because I got a true insight into the business and was able to work with/meet people globally and I was doing 'proper' work that helped my team. However, to begin with it a little bit difficult settling in to the new environment and my team were really busy so I felt like I was holding back initially.
I did feel valued once I settled into the team properly and my colleagues would regularly check up on me and ask if I ever needed help.
To begin with, the guidance was lacking due to the team being really busy. However once things calmed down, I was given a lot of support, structure and direction with my work.
Quite busy, there is a lot to do all the time and especially with the internship being over the summer time, so many people are on holiday so you have to work around that. Also 10 weeks goes by extremely quick!
I was given appropriate responsibility but I would regularly check in with my team to see if I was on the right track.
The skills I have developed and learned will assist me in my future life because this has been a HUGE learning experience and I feel more confident about being in workplaces, better communication, Excel skills and developing professionalism.
The Company
The atmosphere in my area was pretty work focused, everyone is always quite busy but other parts of the building were more lively and overall I think the building had a 'buzzing' atmosphere.
It was well organised, there were so many intern events and networking sessions for us to go to.
We had 2 days of training before we actually came to the office and that was really helpful. Then throughout the whole internship I felt that I was developing myself and was challenged because I felt out of my comfort zone but it was such a good experience. Also I attended a development day and that was fantastic.

Very appealing because I am keen to learn more about the business and explore other areas!
The Culture
Yes, the intern class was huge and we would always socialise, in and out of work.
Pretty expensive, especially as I am a university student.
It was exciting, especially since getting anywhere in London from the area was really easy!
As long as you showed an interest and expressed this.
