The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the internship. I learned a lot about audit, and met some great people who I hope to maintain a relationship with.
My colleagues were extremely supportive and helpful. They assigned me to some important tasks and so I feel that I was valued and trusted.
My manager for one client was with me throughout out my time at client site. She was very supportive and answered all the questions that I had for her.
The business varied from day to day. However, overall I was working around 9 hours a day (including 1 hour lunch).
One of the most satisfying parts of the internship was the amount of responsibility put on me, which was really great - in terms of creating workbooks and speaking with the client. Its good to know that you are trusted by the team, as an intern.
The skills and knowledge I have developed will definitely assist me in my studies at university - particularly as I study Accounting and Finance. I feel I have more confidence when speaking with high profile people, and better written and verbal communication skills, which will be important in my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great. Everyone is very friendly.
The internship was well organised, however I did experience a few issues in terms of being linked with clients - in fact for my last week, I wasn't assigned to anyone and so had to ask around for work to do. Nevertheless, I had a great time.
The firm invested a lot into me, and all the other interns.

Very appealing! I would love to work for EY in the future.
The Culture
The social scene was fantastic. I was regularly going out with my audit team for drinks, and meeting up with the other interns.
The cost of living in London is very high. I spent a lot of money on travel and food, which was not very good.
The nightlife was great. However, I wasn't able to experience much of this as a result of working.
There were many opportunities to go out with colleagues and meet up with people - although this obviously did depend on what time I had finished.
