The Role
During the internship, I had the opportunity to work with most people in my team. This gave me the chance to learn from all of them and get to know them better.
I was placed under a manager who was very involved throughout the span of my internship. She was incredibly generous with her time and gave me a lot of support and guidance.
It varied depending on the number of deals in the market.
My team, very kindly, gave me a good amount of responsibility during the internship. While I had full ownership of my work, someone from the team would always be providing me with support and guidance.
Skills I have developed during this internship will definitely assist me beyond my degree.
The Company
M&G's culture is great, everyone is very friendly and willing to teach.
HR organized many insight sessions for us during the first couple of weeks which introduced us to the different areas of the business. One of my colleagues also took it upon herself to organize half an hour sessions for people from different departments to talk to us about their job scope and answer any queries we might have. Overall, this provided me with good training an development and helped me gain a good understanding of the business.

The Culture
We entered as a group of 38 interns. On top of the socials HR organized for us, we would organize our own socials as an intern group. After 8 weeks, I can definitely say I've made some close friends!
My department had their summer party which I went for and HR organizes many social events for us as an intern group including going to Bounce, the ping pong bar and having an Interns movie night, just to name a few.
