The Role
I really enjoyed it. It was a great insight into working life and was a much better way of spending summer than sat at home twiddling your thumbs. Plus it puts me in a great position for third year.
I definitely felt like I was part of the team. Everyone was very nice and friendly and treated me with respect. They weren't afraid to give me responsibility in terms of the work they gave me.
There was always someone around to answer a question and everyone is really approachable here.
At first I wasn't that busy but after a while when you get up to speed with everything and you get to know everyone, the work for me at least just kept on coming in on its home. Don't be afraid to go and ask for work if you don't have anything to do.
Quite a bit more than I expected to be honest. People weren't afraid to give me work and were quite supportive, Also no one expects you to do really well, it's more you having a go.
Organisation skills for one will help massively. Working from 9-5:30 on a day to day basis really helps with that. Also just learning how an office works and what people look for will be an invaluable asset in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere was very relaxed, there was always a conversation going on and it was just very open and friendly.
Fairly well organised, my champion made sure I got to experience a variety of things and do different pieces of work.
Most of it was just pick it up on the job but we did have a few e-learning modules. As it was only a six week placement we obviously couldn't spend a week training so there's not much more they could have done.
Very appealing but I am switching service lines as for me personally, I didn't enjoy the work itself.
The Culture
The placement students here went out for lunch every day and had socials on a Friday. It's pretty much up to you how good the social scene is though.
Relatively good especially for me as I lived at home.

Not that many but we did have weekly football which most of the placement students got involved in. (There wouldn't have been a team without us.)
