    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship, met some great people and got to work on a variety of interesting jobs. I definitely wasn't counting down the days until the end, which is always a good sign!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They were always finding me work to do and the work was useful to them and to the jobs

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was always someone there to ask questions if I didn't understand or got a bit stuck.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were only a few times when I struggled to find things to do, which is normal really given that as an intern you don't know how to do everything.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of responsibility - going out to client sites and doing work that was used in the final reports.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Probably not for my degree, but it was really useful to learn about the way things are done at Deloitte

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office is really friendly even though everyone is working separately. Great team atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was well organised, they had thought about what I was going to do. Nothing was organised loads in advance but that's the nature of the industry and the jobs as things change so often. However it was quite hard to get initial information from HR before starting.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Everyone spent a lot of time training me and explaining everything which was great as it meant I could then do a lot more.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing. Waiting to schedule a final interview.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Had a couple of socials during my scheme. I was the only student in my department and due to being out on client sites I didn't really socialise with other placement student
