The Role
I really enjoyed my internship, met some great people and got to work on a variety of interesting jobs. I definitely wasn't counting down the days until the end, which is always a good sign!
They were always finding me work to do and the work was useful to them and to the jobs
There was always someone there to ask questions if I didn't understand or got a bit stuck.
There were only a few times when I struggled to find things to do, which is normal really given that as an intern you don't know how to do everything.
A lot of responsibility - going out to client sites and doing work that was used in the final reports.
Probably not for my degree, but it was really useful to learn about the way things are done at Deloitte
The Company
The office is really friendly even though everyone is working separately. Great team atmosphere.
The placement was well organised, they had thought about what I was going to do. Nothing was organised loads in advance but that's the nature of the industry and the jobs as things change so often. However it was quite hard to get initial information from HR before starting.
Everyone spent a lot of time training me and explaining everything which was great as it meant I could then do a lot more.
National Travel
Very appealing. Waiting to schedule a final interview.
The Culture
Had a couple of socials during my scheme. I was the only student in my department and due to being out on client sites I didn't really socialise with other placement student
