The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at M&G, it is a great work environment with friendly people and many opportunities to get more insight into the asset management industry as a whole as well in the role of each department in the firm. Many activities, at and after work hours- activities were organised to meet with the interns working in other departments, which allowed us to create new relationships and learn from each other as well.
People working at M&G are very open and friendly in general. My colleagues included me in team meetings and team dinners from the first week of the internship. Colleagues were always happy to answer my questions and ready to assist me wherever they could. I felt my work was valued as well.
I had weekly meetings and catch-ups with my manager and as well as assistance from the grad team.
I had a lot of different projects to work on, so was busy all the time.
According to me quite a lot of responsibility was given to me, I was able to work independently on some projects.
I have improved my teamwork, presentation, research skills. I believe those are all very valuable skills which we’ll definitely help me in my future career.
The Company
Very approachable, open and professional atmosphere
Very well, they had organised many activities for the interns allowing us to both learn (introduction group seminars, time scheduled with different people in the department, presentations both in group as individually) and enjoy ourselves during the internship (pub quiz, movie nights, intern lunches), …
The company invested quite some time to make sure we really understand the industry and the role of each department of the firm.

I hope appealing, but don't know about that yet.
The Culture
Yes, they organised many opportunities for us to both meet and cooperate with them in various situations.
There was a subsidized canteen so that was very helpful in terms of paying for lunch.
I don’t really know much about that, but maybe that's up to me.
