The Role
It was a very good, well structured internship
Felt valued by some more than others, this was mainly due to some delegating more advanced work than others.
As an 'SVS' student you are given a 'buddy' and a 'champion' who support you through the scheme and answer any concerns or queries you have.
Most days a sufficient amount of work was delegated. Obviously there are times when you don't have much to do, but these were not very frequent.
A fair amount of responsibility given it is only an internship. You are given work to do for clients from the start, although this was probably due to the client focus nature of Indirect Tax.
Technically, probably not that much as the service line is very narrow. Personal skills developed will definitely help me beyond my studies
The Company
Pretty good, the workforce is fairly young so there was a talkative atmosphere with people not solely focussed on their work and nothing else.
Very well organised. 'Seamless'
Induction event over 2 days initially was primarily to meet everyone in other offices who you inevitably won't see again during your internship, this was followed by an office induction which was straightforward. Other than this, there was not much personal training other than learning from colleagues.

Very.
The Culture
Yes, as there is a fairly young workforce the social side was good. Also, there were events going on during the internship such as an away day which was pleasant.
Lived at home as office was 20 minute commute. Not particularly expensive, although I did pay £6 for a peroni which was quite perturbing.
Pleasant.
Not particularly. There were a couple of football matches that you could get involved in but these were quite a distance from the office.
