The Role
It was a great experience to expand my knowledge of the division where I worked in as well as all the different business areas. This internship was the best way to develop incredibly important skills as well such as time management, team working, attention to detail, client service, analytical skills and so on. Moreover I had the opportunity to expand my network.
I always received a strong support from my team members in order to complete all my projects in time. Sometimes it is hard to arrange meetings with certain people since they are very busy but it is a way to learn how to make them understand that their help could make a difference and that the project might benefit them in the first place. Overall a developed strong professional relationships.
I had the opportunity to work for two different managers with completely different approaches. Both of them were always very interested in receiving structured progress updates in order to give me constructive feedback and make sure that I was going in the right direction. They always made sure that I felt welcome and part of the team and that I was happy with my objectives as well.
During the first week I was incredibly busy since I had the deadline of two projects due on the fourth week, So I had to make sure to undertake deep individual researches on the team as well as organising a lot of meetings. I had to understand quickly what I was asked to do and work very hard to make sure to deliver the best results. At the same time I worked on other projects that were due for the end of the internship so in the second part of the internship I had a good balance.
I managed to help the team in a lot of ways and they made me responsible of a lot of tasks. At first it was a bit stressful but eventually incredibly rewarding.
I improved and developed very important skills that won't only assist me in building a career in the financial sector but that can be useful for a lot of other sectors as well.
The Company
Incredibly professional and there was a high degree of respect. At the same time all the team members were very friendly and there was always room for fun.
Very well organized.
Company Parties/Events
If you work hard you should be able to get an offer for a graduate program. If not you will still have a great experience on your CV.
The Culture
Lots of networking events organized as well as interesting speaker sessions. I engaged with all the interns of my division and from other divisions as well.
Quite expensive
