The Role
I enjoyed the variety and responsibility that my role offered me.
I was an integral part of the team that people relied on, on a daily basis.
My manager was able to assist me and offer advise for any potential problems that I faced.
Each week would be different, with the end of the month being extremely busy with a balance of a quiet period in the middle few weeks of each month.
I was given the responsibility to negotiate the rates and reject non compliant labour purchases.
The skills I received from the placement year meant that I am able to go into my final year with real life examples in business which can only aid my results.
The Company
The office atmosphere at HP is very flexible providing the work is carried out, an enjoyable way of working.
The internship at HP is well organised, the interns have time to meet each other at social events in and out of working hours.
In my particular role I was trained on the programme I needed to use and if I am ever in a similar role again I will be able to apply these skills.
Flexi Time
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I would like to come to HP on the graduate scheme.
The Culture
Yes, at the beginning of the placement there was a very good social scene.
The salary is ok and in-line with competing companies.
The nightlife was good.
Yes there were plenty of opportunities to get involved if I wanted to.
