The Role
It was a very enjoyable four weeks that was kept interesting by being able to constantly meet new people and undertake new tasks.
I was treated from my first day as another employee rather than the office intern, it made me and my work feel valued.
Those supervising me were constantly trying to offer their help and guidance and at no point was a struggling for support.
To a large extent I always had something to do, if I did not, I could just ask someone and they would help.
I never felt like anything I was doing was of huge responsibility, but had the sense that it would contribute to a larger task my team was doing of greater responsibility.
Having had an internship at KPMG for 4 weeks, I feel more confident in my presenting skills and people skills as I was constantly meeting new people and presenting myself or my work.
The Company
A lot of people were always coming and going, so the atmosphere was always changing.
Once I had started with who I was assigned it felt organised, however, I did not actually know what I was to be doing until the morning of my first day after training.
I felt that a considerable amount of investment was put into me from a range of helpful individuals across the company.

Working from home
Having been offered a graduate placement, the idea of coming back to work for KPMG after I graduate is a very exciting prospect!
The Culture
Most interns were split accross the many different areas of the firm, however, I felt like everyone made an active effort to socialise and come together.
I was living at home luckily, so only the standard cost of being in London applied to socialising.
I did not go out in the area where I was working, nor anywhere else during my time at KPMG.
There were several semi-work related activities to be involved in outside of work that were made available to me.
