The Role
I enjoyed the placement a lot. It was interesting auditing 4 different companies. I got a real insight into what life at KPMG was like.
Everyone was very friendly and really helpful. Everyone I worked with really seemed to value the work I was doing and always answered all the questions I had.
The whole of the internship I was working closely with people who were always there to help. Through I was not walked through everything, there was oportunity to show your problem solving skills and have one on one time with the client to complete the auditing role.
I was busy the whole time. I always had work to do which was good as having nothing to do is dull. Though there was always time to have lunch and never ever any to late evenings working.
I was given lots of responsibility being on client sites I was interacting with the clients from the start. This did seem a little scary but was fine really.
I learnt a lot about how a company is audited and lots of new skill. This wasn't related to my degree but was very interesting.
The Company
I wasn't really in the office at all as I was mainly on client sites. So the atmosphere depended where you were. Generally it was good and the KPMG office had a good feel to it.
Very orgainsed. I had a wide view of the role planned out for me and always had stuff to get on with.
They spent time explaining how things are done in the office. Also paid my expenses and even paid for me to go to London for two days.

I will definitely be consider the grad scheme as a path after university it does seem like a great opportunity.
The Culture
I wasn't really working with anyone else on placement. I worked with lots of people on the school leavers program and people on the grad scheme. There were several evening events and cricket.
I lived at my friends student accommodation so I didn't get I idea on rent prices. Prices were what you can expect for a city.
Nightlife was pretty good but in Bristol city centre it was expected.
Mainly cricket. It was only 4 weeks so couldn't expect to much.
