    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was an enjoyable experience, the work was challenging however there was a good support structure around me so I could gain assistance if needed.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt more valued when I was working on a project for an extended period of time, rather than just a couple of days. I gained a better relationship with the client and the on site team. It was difficult to get really involved with the work if I was there for a day or two.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was great central support, general workshops etc on the first day, however once I began work at a local office the support reduced. I met my 'buddy' by chance during my last week which seems poor. There didn't appear to be anyone for me to report to in my office or go to with queries.

    3/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I haven't returned to my degree yet.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Relatively, perhaps a more concrete training and a structure for the entire placement would have been better

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Good, people happy to help, but perhaps a social event would have aided interaction

    3/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was training to use the general audit software and ethical training, but little apart from that. Most training was done on the job

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • A lot, the day to day work and travelling was typical of a full time employee and the tasks undertaken would have been done by other employees if I hadn't done them.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Not a huge amount, there wasn't a lot of time to get involved in the social aspects or the outside the office activities. It wasn't made entirely clear what I was entitled to as an intern rather than a full employee. However I got a general feel for the company.

    3/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Definitely gave me more information, however I haven't made a final decision yet so difficult to say.

    2/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Pro rata

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes but I was unable to attend, an alternative was due to be arranged but it never happened

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • See above

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Only through my own research

    1/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, a good experience working for a renowned company in an interesting area.

    3/5
