About You
I had a fantastic experience! Overall extremely positive and very interesting - so much fun to be there and a great breadth of different work and experiences.
I felt very valued. In both my seats I was introduced to many people in the office, and most came back either just to talk to me, or to give me work. I was given responsibility for what I was working on, and taken seriously when I had any queries.
Lots - both my trainers were always on hand to answer my questions, as well as to explain things they were working on or were involved in that I didn't understand. In additions, grad recruitment were very helpful, as were IT and Library support.
Information received helpful in the short term in choosing a law form and seat preferences. Quick research and drafting skills developed will help me with my degree coursework this summer.
The Company
Extremely well structured - timetable and seat allocations were very well planned, without a barrage of information at any one time but allowing for a lot of insight into the firm nonetheless.
Fantastic - everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and all teams seemed to work very cohesively together on deals and in the office. Though the work was at times stressful, everyone I met kept a positive attitude throughout.
Helped a lot - good insight into the work of the firm, the general schedule and hours, and how the teams interlinked and worked together.
A lot - I could tell the positive attitude and friendliness were genuine.
Everything Else
Yes - a practice area networking lunch, meeting with the Senior Partner, and ample opportunity to meet those in your seat while you were there.
Good - social events such as meals were good for talking to other vac schemers and trainees, while Go Karting was good for bonding.
Yes - various sports, a choir, and other activities were made available to us.
Definitely.
