About You
The insight programme provided me with a good understanding of the different service lines of KPMG.
With the fast track application available to everyone who attended the insight programme, i felt appreciated by the people at KPMG and it did not feel like i was attending an evaluation but rather an information session to help me decide the service line that i am more interested in.
Our questions on the various service lines were well answered by the people there at KPMG. They provided us with real life example of their daily work at KPMG and painted us a good mental image of what work in the different service lines entail. They were also very supportive during the business case study, as we were allocated a mentor per group to assist us in our business case evaluation.
In terms of my degree studies, i believe that the information that i have received will help me better understand the real life application of accounting and finance. As for my career plan, understanding the different service lines helped me determine which service line i am more interested in.
The Company
The insight programme was broken down into two days. The first day consist of an introduction into the different service lines in KPMG while the second day consist of a group business case study of a business and for us to provide recommendations to help improve the business's performance.
Everyone at KPMG was really welcoming and keen to answer our queries. The inclusive culture that KPMG is proud of was truly displayed during the insight programme.
They ensured that we left the programme with an impression of what KPMG is about and the different service lines available. They also provided us with feedback on our business case study presentation to help us improve our presentation skills.
Significantly. Interacting with the people at KPMG gave me real life stories of what their job entails, information that could be hardly found on the website but only through personal interaction.
It was helpful as i was having a first hand experience of the KPMG culture.
The information provided and the interaction with the people at KPMG helped me determine the career path that i am more interested in.
