The Role
My work wasn't especially interesting and it's not an area I want to work in. Having said that, the opportunity to shadow in different areas and my colleagues and fellow interns were great.
I felt valued by my colleagues as I was trusted to do real work.
I had plenty of guidance from the people I was working with and they were happy to help me.
Not very busy. I had a lot of waiting to get various permissions and for people to get back to me with a crucial piece of information I needed to advance.
I had real work. I don't think it was especially critical but I suppose that's to be expected.
I got better at Excel. It might be useful in the future.
The Company
The genral atmosphere was relaxed and nice but not many people outside of my immediate team were keen to speak.
The organisation from HR was great. There were loads of events and socials and they were always prepared to answer questions or point you in the right direction.
There was a week of training in the first week. It involved working with local school children, having some financial lectures and receiving Excel training among other things. It was pretty good but obviously couldn't be well tailored to everyone's specific area of work.

It looks like a decent place to work but I don't see myself working in the department I was placed in so it's hard to judge.
The Culture

High but it's London so no suprise there.
