The Role
I enjoyed my work placement very much as it was both enriching and interesting.
My colleagues treated me like a peer therefore they were very approachable during my internship
My supervisors were very keen on answering any questions i have and frequently check on me regarding the progress of my work and my experience in KPMG. They organised online courses for me and allowed me to participate in various training,
As an intern my workload was very manageable. The working hours are typical except for auditing deadlines when 1 or 2 hour overtime is needed.
Most of my workload involving checks and verifying the values are accurate and accountable. It was an important job and every piece of my assignments would be double checked by my supervisor or mentor.
By doing an audit internship, I believe I have developed my organisational skills and personal effectiveness so that in my degree studies I will be able to manage the overwhelming workloads with more ease.
The Company
Very relaxed and friendly
I think the organisation of the internship is very compact and detailed. I have managed to get started on doing the actual work pretty fast during the first few days and they managed to allocate assignments to each intern.
I was allowed to assess all the online courses for the graduate hires and participate in various internal training held in the office
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The future employment prospects looks very appealing as all the training is ensured during the few years of joining the company.
The Culture
All the students were very friendly and we helped each other all the time
The city i worked in is quite expensive but i do managed to participate in few socializing events
There were a few clubs and pubs in the city centre.
They organised quite a number of social events and sports activities for us to participate in.
