The Role
I enjoyed my placement massively, everything about it was well organised and created a positive environment. The accomadation arrangements were outstanding and I really felt I was making a contribution to the business.
I felt very valued in a work capacity, there was not a paticularly large social aspect but I understand that varies from team to team. Everyone, not just my manager, was willing to help if I asked and I feel as if I picked up many extra skills due to this variation in my working colleagues.
My manager was outstanding, he had engaging and genuinely useful work organised, he would always stop and help me if he noticed I had not been able to progress on a task and was very professional.
It was almost exactly right in that I had enough work to sustain me from 8:30- 5:30 but not so much as I felt stressed and had to stay late. There were a few occasions where I had an hour or so of nothing but this was due to waiting for other parts of the business to communicate with me.
Large amounts of responsibilty, I was given the opportunity to build spreadsheet tools and work with new bits of software, I honestly feel the reports I wrote were seriously considered and made an impact to the business going forward.
I learnt to work with linear modelling software, which will be very useful in a technical sense. I also feel I learnt about how businesses run and where inefficencies come from, which should help me going forward.
The Company
The atmosphere was enjoyable and there were occasional social events but there was not a huge amount.
Before I arrived there appeared to be some disorganisation with the graduate recruitment team, however once the placement began everything was top class. The accomodation was very well organised and I felt as if the welcoming activities were very useful. I had no problems with accessing my laptop or work phone and my manager was always on the ball with what I should be doing.
A really strong aspect was the personal training and development, I have massively improved my excel skills, have learnt how to use linear modelling software, have been involved with a consultant presentation trainer who was top class, and have been on a day to improve soft skills.

Subsidised/Company Gym
Final presentation will shortly be undertaken and I believe there is a good chance of being offered a job.
The Culture
Absolutely outstanding, living together in accomodation meant everyone became friends and there was something going on almost every night of the week.
The accomodation was provided for free! Social events were as expensive as you wanted them to be in the sense that sometimes we'd just play football on the grass outside and sometimes we'd head out to a restaurant, it was really about how much you got involved in.
Reasonable, we sometimes went to nearby pubs and also went clubbing in windsor on most friday nights.
Yes, there was a charity challenge which was enjoyable and also lots of sporting activities.
