The Role
I’ve been given real responsibility and freedom to make the role work to my strengths.
With the responsibility went the satisfaction of feeling like a valued member of the team. From day one I was expected to work hard and contribute to the team like anyone else.
My manager always supported me in my role and more importantly challenged me to improve and stretch myself.
At the beginning of my role I struggled to find things to do and was sometimes bored, however, as my skills set expanded I quickly found that I was always busy as I could get involved it a lot more.
Loads. If you want a placement where you can hide behind others and not take on a real responsibility this isn’t the role for you.
My functional and soft skills and both developed through formal training, learning from others and on the job.
The Company
The atmosphere is open and relaxed.
Overall it was good, but as the organisation is changing all the time so planning out my years itinerary wasn’t feasible.
Great. they would suppport and suggest relevant trainings.

The HR function in the office is quite small so it’s unlikely there’ll be a job in this office; however, a job somewhere in Mars is probable.
The Culture
Due to the small intake of students the social scene wasn’t great.
Expensive to live as you're near to london.
Slough itself is dull and boring but there are some great places near by like Windsor and London - I would recomend you have a car if you live in Slough.
Mars has lots of sports and wellness activities and the office often organises regular site activities - This will probably be your job to organise.
