About You
The 2 day insight programme was very enjoyable. The coordinators made the programme interactive and interesting by incorporating team exercises and competitions in with lots of information about the company and graduate roles.
There was a group of around 20 at the insight, so feeling valued was not necessarily applicable, however, the people running the event were extremely helpful and I had a chance to chat individually with graduates and experienced employees.
The staff at KPMG were supportive throughout the application process and during the two day event. They answered any questions I had and ensured that everyone was supported during the team tasks.
The team exercises built on my business awareness, leadership, teamwork and communication skills - skills that will be useful for employment. The application process was excellent practice for graduate role applications as it involved numerical and verbal tests, an assessment centre and telephone interview. The information provided at the insight was useful in understanding the different service lines at KPMG and I was lucky enough to be fast tracked and offered a place on the summer internship.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. They made sure that large presentations of information were broken up by team games and question and answer sessions.
I felt a positive atmosphere from all of the staff and students attending the insight.
In terms of development, I was offered a place on the Summer Internship. This will develop my skills and career prospects further.
The information provided and speaking to employees was useful in understanding the roles at KPMG, however, as I did not undertake any actual work, my knowledge is still limited.
I felt a positive vibe of the culture at KPMG, they also told us about the social side of the company, and the volunteering opportunities available.
Extremely valuable - KPMG is definitely a company that I would consider working for.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed train fares but not hotel expenses.
We had networking drinks and nibbles at the end of the first day - an excellent opportunity to chat with employees.
No other opportunities available.
I found out about many social and volunteering opportunities at KPMG.
I would strongly recommend the insight programme.
