The Role
Really hard work, I loved the fact that I was in charge of my own business and the rewards made the hard work worth while!
You have people all around you that care for you and want to help you hit your goals. Still in touch with a lot of people i spent the summer with and even going out to do another one with these people!
Management is great and looks after you
Running your own business it's up to you what hours you work. Typically you do 12-13 hours a day 6 days a week.
Running my own business I had to run the show!
Time management, persiverance, selling ideas, a knew look at problems I face, goal fulfillment.
The Company
Pump up calls in the morning, execs, a load of fun before we went off to work! Sunday meetings were cool too!
Reasonably well, they allocated you turf, although we did have to find some places to live for some people
One of the sister companies is a sales consultancy company which charge $000's for seminars. We got a whole week of intense training free of charge
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Its totally up to you how long you stay in the business, i'm going back for a second summer, some people have been interning now are in full time.
The Culture
You're surrounded by about 60 other college students where you're selling and then meet people in other areas at the meetings during the year
We pay all our costs so transport, food, rent etc. Kinda expect that running your own business though
We worked to late every night, so didnt get chance to go out, although there are insentive trips to places like Gambia which I got to go on!
We have trips to Gambia in february if you hit a certain number of sales. There are awards banquets and meetings which you meet other people who did the internship aswell
