The Role
I really enjoyed my internship and it was far better than anything I expected. I feel that the team I was put in was very well suited to my interests and meant that I have had a great experience.
Although the rating "like family" may seem extreme, I really felt included and was made part of the team. I felt appreciated by them even when completing relatively unimportant tasks.
My manager and team has been fantastic through my experience and is one of the reasons I enjoyed the internship so much. I was introduced to lots of people across the company to allow me to learn about different divisions . I was given continuous training and felt that everyone was patient with me and always willing to explain things if I didn't understand something.
I always had stuff to do but rarely felt overwhelmed.
I feel like I was given a perfect balance of responsibility, however my workload was never to heavy.
I have found this internship extremely helpful in learning about the fundamentals of the business and the industry. I feel I gained lots of transferable skills.
The Company
I think it varied largely team by team. Overall everyone is very friendly and nice.
I found it to be well organised.
In my individual case I found that my manager and my team invested lots of time to train me and went out of their way to ensure I get the most from my placement.

Company Parties/Events
I think it would be a great place to work if I got an offer.
The Culture
Everyone was very nice and open to socialising, HR organised lots of social events for us.
It's in the City so lots of options for bars etc., however it is obviously quite expensive at times as expected/
I'm not sure what the nightlife is like in Bank, however it's London and there are lots of great things to do.
I think for those that are interested there as socials and events that you can attend.
