The Role
It was a fun internship and I learned alot about the energy industry. Some of the work was a little dull, but it was compensated by trips to the assets and an overall great company culture.
My team was quite small so there was a feeling that everyone mattered. My colleagues were very helpful and always treated me like an equal.
My manager was ace. She was always there to help, even if she wasn't based at Windsor with me.
It really depends. Some days there was alot to do (both in terms of meetings and actual busy work) while others it was quieter. Overall, it was a solid 8:30 - 4:30 commitment. The important thing is that I never felt overwhelmed, and always knew I could ask for help if needed.
Quite alot. I was given my own big project and a couple of small ones. My manager supervised my work and offered valuable insight.
I have definitely acquired more skills and knowledge of the industry which will help me in the future.
The Company
Absolutely fantastic. My floor had a great work/life balance and the company culture was followed. We even had a BBQ.
Very well set up in my case, but this varies from manager to manager.
We had lots of training and the company allowed us to shadow other areas of the business in order to get a more rounded view.

The Culture
There was always something to do. Since we were all allocated to the same residence, you lived with other interns.
Windsor and Egham are not the cheapest, but then again its not London expensive.
Bad. Just bad. RHUL was in the middle of nowhere (unless you drove). For a person that is used to a big city, this was a bit of a bummer.
Yes! We were encouraged to do community service and my floor organised various sports activities throughout the placement.
