The Role
Great work experience, could not have been any better. From great colleagues who are happy to help at any time to interesting and challenging work to the oportunity to actually take on responsibility.
My colleagues were interested in me as a person, had time to help me out when I needed it and on top were just really easy to get along with.
I got given support and guidance whenever I needed it.
I always had enough jobs to do so I didn't get bored, but I was never rushed or so busy that I didn't know how to deal with my workload.
I was given responsibilty where possible.
The skills and the training received will support me in my future career.
The Company
A quiet, but relaxed atmosphere where it was easy to work and get along with everyone.
I knew from the start of the internship what was expected from me, which jobs I will be working on and how my final evaluation will look like. Everything was taken care of and I was explained the essentials so I could organise myself as well.
From colleagues to managers, everyone took time out their day to explain tasks to me and support me where necessary so I could learn as much as possible.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I am hoping to get a job with Grant Thornton.
The Culture
There are more graduate places available then interns taken on - therefore interns do not compete against each other for a graduate placement which makes the atmosphere very enjoyable.
I have travelled a lot during my internship so it depended on the area - prices were never extortionate and travel is paid for by Grant Thornton
I have travelled a lot during my internship so it depended on the area
Social events are organised on a regular basis and interns are always invited as well.
