The Role
The work placement was very enjoyable. At no point did I hate what I was doing, and on the whole the work was interesting.
My colleagues made me feel involved, useful and trusted.
I had regular catch-ups with my manager, and felt as though I could approach him about anything at any time.
There were times when I was extremely busy, and it was sometimes stressful. These occasions were the exception and not the norm, and although it was busy, it was not unbearable. On the whole I was happy with how much work I had.
I was given a great deal of responsibility. I was regularly allowed to get into contact with clients directly, either on the phone, in person or through email. I felt as though I was trusted and received a lot of responsibility accordingly.
All of the work I did was very skills based and I think it will all come in useful in the future. My presenting skills, soft skills, and excel skills would be the ones that I was able to improve on the most.
The Company
On the whole the atmosphere in the office was good. However, sometimes the office felt a little quiet, as the work requires a lot of time in front of clients and therefore out of the office.
The internship was well organised, The first two weeks were solely structured training, to ensure we knew enough to do the work asked of us. There were times during training where I felt it was less structured, but on the whole the training was very good. After the first two weeks there was still a lot of structure, and we had things to work towards the entire time.
It felt as though FactSet invested a lot in me. The first two weeks of training where extremely time consuming and therefore there was a significant investment of people's time. My feeling was that FactSet would happily invest a great to see me develop.

Company Parties/Events
At this time I'm still unsure as to whether I will receive a job offer from them or not, but I think my prospects are good. I do feel that FactSet would be a good place to start my career, but my feeling is that the internal career progression is not as good as elsewhere.
The Culture
The social scene was very good. As interns we were regularly invited to after work drinks and company parties. FactSet felt like a very sociable and friendly company.
London, so far from cheap.
The nightlife was good. FactSet sits between Shoreditch and the City so there were quite a few options. My colleagues regularly invited us on nights out and I always thoroughly enjoyed.
There were quite a few opportunities to do activities outside of work, There was regularly football after work, and during the summer there was basketball.
