The Role
I really enjoyed the internship especially the working environment and the work I was allocated to undertake.
I felt very valued as a member of the team. This was because I was given greater responsibility than i thought i would have before the internship started and my view point was taken into account on many occasions.
I was given a good level of guidance in the work that was was set as well as being able to shadow senior members of the firm enabling me to understand the industry and further my learning.
I was relatively busy and always had things and work to do however due to the time of the year of the internship the office was not as active as if I was at work when the majority of deals are being done.
I was given a lot of responsibility, undertaking viewings on my own and being involved in major presentations are some examples of times I was given great responsibility.
I was able to firstly put skills I had learnt in the classroom into uses during the month however as I have been in a working environment I will be able to pick up new information and have an increased interest in the material I am taught at university.
The Company
The atmosphere was really good compared to other offices I have been in. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with on a daily basis.
The placement was very well organised due to the amount of contact we had with the HR department, the speeches and activities throughout the month and the feedback that was given at the end.
The firm invested a lot of time into personal development with such activities as presentation workshops and various networking events.
The wide range of potential jobs available as well as the friendly atmosphere, the ability to progress with the company and the training employees gain makes a job at JLL very appealing.
The Culture
We undertook social events with interns such as drinks and urban golf.
Soho and the west end is very expensive however there are ways of operating cheaply.
Very good.
For full time employees there are many activities available outside of work.
