The Role
Great experience, extremely smart people and the possibility to learn a lot. I really liked my time at BAML.
Lots of support from day one from MD to Analysts. Everyone has time for you every time.
Mentoring and Development Officers are amazing and help to guide you through the bank. They also introduce you to other senior people within the bank and help to guide your career choices.
Although there are “lighter” days in general I was pretty busy, despite the summer holidays.
As in every job you need to earn the trust of your colleagues and senior people. You start with pretty mundane tasks but if you do the job good the amount of responsibility given to you will grow exponentially.

The Company
Friendly and helpful. Every time even senior people have time for you.
Goody system of staffers allow you to be relatively busy all the time. Organization was very good.
First week is only related to technical trainings so there was a lot of investment from day one. After that you learn on every project you are assigned to.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. BAML is one of the best palces to be in investment banking
The Culture
IB is known for the work hard, play hard atmosphere so you can expect lots of socialising after work.
London, is expensive. You can't avoit it.
It's London; )
You work +13 hours every day so there are rather limited possibility to be active outside work. But it is something every person should expect from investment banking
