The Role
I really enjoyed the summer internship for BDO. It was amazing to explore a wide range of areas in tax, as well as meeting a lot of great people.
I felt extremely valued. They were helpful and supportive throughout the internship.
I got on amazingly well with my line manager. She helped me to set objectives and achieve the, She was extremely supportive throughout the internship.
The beginning and end were really busy. It was a bit quiet in the middle, but that was due to the season and the quieter period.
We were given a lot of responsibility early on, which helped develop my skills and also made me feel more valued.
The training will help be if I want to complete the ACA qualification.
The Company
Extremely friendly and supportive. We got on well as a group of interns and with the other colleagues.
Really organised. Although quieter times, this couldn't be helped.
We had a week in Birmingham which helped initial training but doing a wide range of tasks, helped by our colleagues, really helped our training and development.
National Travel
Extremely appealing, I really enjoyed the experience.
The Culture
There were two big socials, and drinks every Friday.
I lived at home but prices were quite cheap to socialise.
Manchester night life can appeal to all, there is lots to do.
A lot of opportunities, everyone is keen to socialise.
