The Role
It was challenging but still good, despite a chaotic environment
Valued well by colleagues in my team and majority of colleagues outside
2 week Handover with previous student, and received help whenever I asked
Several Ad Hoc jobs outside of projects given to me. Usually a good balance but can have extreme days
I was given free reign of how to manage my time and tasks unless Managers had to step in
Time management and organisational skills developed dramatically. Training was provided on Lean 6 Sigma pronciples for projects and daily tasks
The Company
Chaotic environment but everyone found the lighter side of it. Everyone was confortable making jokes during busier times
Majority was fine, though slight issues when it came to changes in my role where there wasn't extensive planning
Internal training website with a variety of courses. Includes IT skills, management skills, numerical, etc.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
I would definately consider returning
The Culture
Facebook groups are set up before the students start the year, so they can get to know others beforehand. Regular events planned by the Placement Steudent Commitee
Not cheap, but considering it's London its pretty good
Several local pubs and a night club. On the Underground route meaning easy access to London and its nightlife
Local gyms and clubs
