The Role
Amazing experience, only downside being a few days with little or nothing to do
Everyone was always very keen to give support and guidance, even at senior level
Some days not very much to do, others very busy
Limited responsibility due to restricted intern working hours
The Company
The office had the right mix of being a good working environment but also easy to walk around and speak to people
The structure of staffing allocations could have been better as it was confusing at times, with a combination of work allocated by staffers and work allocated directly from individual bankers to employees
Good, a week of training and a good feedback/development system
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Company Parties/Events
Interns find out if they get a job on the last day of the internship. The hiring rate is typically very high. The prospect of working at the company is very apppealing
The Culture
Most interns are sociable and friendly. We have socialised outside work but only a few times
Socialising in London is extremely expensive. Living is expensive too but this was subsidised by the bank
It was ok if expensive
The hours that we worked did not leave time for outside activities except on weekends. There is obviously lots to do in London especially on weekends
