The Role
Variety of tasks projects which let me get a solid insight into the working world
My input and work played a vital role in the team as a whole.
Any time I had a question someone was always willing to help. Even during the busiest times.
Most days I had exactly the right amount of work. Occasionally I had to find things to do but not frequently.
I was largely left to my own when completing projects. I was given a specification and I only sought input when I needed it.
A years experience working will always be useful and the coding skills I have developed will help me in my final year project.
The Company
The office was a friendly but professional environment. The desks are arranged in a very communal way which encouraged talking with colleagues about your current work. Equally when the pressure was on everyone respected that and wouldn't cause any undue distractions.
Largely the placement was well put together. As each role essentially takes a position as if we were full time employees. I felt this was significantly better than a placement scheme as it meant we saw more of the day to day that I feel we may have otherwise.
When we started the placement we had a month of training to bring us up to speed with the product and then each month we had a training session based on key procedures or new technologies we are using.

The Culture
Everyone was happy to participate in various events. There was plenty going on for me.
Our rent is high and the social areas around are very expensive.
I don't participate in night life
There are always a large number of other things going on.
