The Role
I enjoyed my internship a lot. I was always given work to do and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
I always felt like my colleagues appreciated the work I did as well as being very supportive when I didn't understand everything.
There was always help available from various places which were made clear to me at the beginning, either from the supervisor of the project I was working on, my buddy or the graduate recruitment team.
I was always given work to do and I felt pretty busy. Towards the end I had less to do and often found myself less busy than at the beginning.
The responsibility ramped up at the perfect pace for me. I felt challenged but never out of my depth.
I learnt a lot about the professional environment how audit works specifically.
The Company
Hard-working but friendly.
There were some issues with timetabling but this was always sorted by a helpful member of the timetabling team.
Every group I worked with helped me develop my skills and took time out their day to make sure I understood everything!
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Was offered a grad scheme.
The Culture
I made some friends with other interns however we were spread out amongst various companies so didn't spend much time together.
Birmingham is a very reasonably priced area. Plus every social I went on with the company was paid for by the company.
Not a huge fan of nightlife but Birmingham has many clubs suitable for a great nightlife.
Birmingham is a huge city with loads of opportunities for everything!
