The Role
I found the internship a good insight into Audit and I enjoyed working with my colleagues.
I felt quite valued as I was given tasks that a first year graduate would be given and so was treated as part of the team.
If I needed help with anything, I asked anyone in the team and everyone was willing to help. I felt very supported.
Occasionally there was a lack of work but this was due to a delay from the client, otherwise I had the perfect balance.
I was given the responsibility that a first year graduate would be given
It wouldnt assist me in my degree but will assist when I join KPMG as a graduate.
The Company
It was very friendly.
Well organised- I was placed on 4 different audit clients for the 4 weeks I was there so got a good feel of what work will be experienced on the graduate scheme. After every job, my 'in-charge' wrote feedback about me and sent this to my manager so it could be discussed before my partner interview.
Difficult to comment as it was only a month's internship. My colleagues invested time when explaining how to do work.
Subsidised Canteen
Great - at the end of the internship I had a partner interview and secured a place on the graduate scheme.
The Culture
I wasn't able to meet any other internship students as there were only 2 per department and I was never working with any. In the month I was there, no one went out as a team
It was relatively cheap as I come from London!
Good.
As I was only there for a month, no.
