The Role
The work placement was very enjoyable and there were new challenges each day. I worked with many people both internally and externally which was great and there were many social events that were enjoyable.
All employees value your contribution as part of the team and are constantly able to encourgae and advise you. If you are ever sturggling you only need to ask and people are always more than happy to help.
I had very regular contact with my manager and other sneior management who were able to constnatly provide feedback on how I was performing. This was useful as it enabled me to develop in the role.
I was never bored during my placement with tasks always needing completing. The workload was high as times but by good time management I was always able to complete things for the deadline.
I was given large amounts of responsibility to coordinate a large number of tasks. Whilst on my placement certain team members were off sick and at times I was the main contact for certain customers.
I have received vast amounts of experience that will greatly help me manage my work when back at university and in my future career.
The Company
There was always an lively working atmosphere in the office but this was never taken too far to enable people to concentrate on the work they had to do.
The role of placements students is fully set up and coordinated very well by the company from the induction process to the very last day.
I was put on numerous training courses thorughout my placement and the company clearly does invest in training for all employees including placement students.

I have applied earlier for a job after my final year at university and hopefully my years experienc will put me in a good position.
The Culture
There were opportunites to mix regularly both with other placement students at the company and also at company events.
Being based down in the south east, the cost was generally quite high however the company did cover a lot of cost on organised events.
If you travel a little further away from work based in Maidenhead, there was good nightlife in areas such as Reading and central London was also within easy reach.
There was the opporuntity to go and play football with opther employees as well as attending social functions.
