  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Revenue-generating work with high exposure to senior leadership.

  • I received great feedback from my colleagues on a daily basis, and really felt valued by the team.

  • My manager helped me to quickly establish myself within the team, and was always available as a point of contact if I reached a blocking point in my work.

  • The work was high-importance with great exposure to senior leadership - this meant that I was always very busy!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • After my first week I was considered to be a 'full-time' memeber of the team and had the same responsibilities as colleague who had been in the firm for years.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a lot of new technologies, as well as learnt soft skills during the intensive training week.

  • Fantastic - there was a truly exciting mix of people that I was able to socialise with both in and outside of the office.

  • This was a well-established and organised programme.

  • The first week of the internship is dedicated to training soft skills and financial skills, along with continual technical training throughout the experience on the job.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were many internal events organised during the working day, along with evening events organised by colleagues.

  • I was based in London, so it's very expensive.

  • Canary Wharf has a great evening bar scene, and London more generally has some really good clubs.

  • I played football every week as part of a 5-a-side team, as well as options to play pool, table tennis, and attend social events.
