    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I absolutely loved it. Every body was really nice and helpful and there were such a variety of tasks that I did over the 4 weeks which included audit & non audit work.

    • I felt extremely valued. Every team I worked with made me feel extremely valued and included me in everything they did.

    • I was constantly given guidance. There wasn't a time where I was unsure. If I was, I would simply ask. Everybody was happy to help.

    • Some days were more busy than others but I always had something to do. Some days I was working none stop but I never left later than 5 which was great!

    • I was given the same responsibility as a first year graduate.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have developed a wide range of skills which I can now take back to my final year of uni and they will definitely help me in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The atmosphere was professional yet relaxed. Everyone was working on their clients but were also available for a friendly chat. It was a perfect balance.

    • It was extremely well organised. I knew exactly what I was doing on a daily basis and was given regular feedback.

    • They invested indirectly in the form of teaching me how to do each task.

    • They are great! I hope I can get a full time job at KPMG and work my way up the employment ladder!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes. There were regular socials being organised and my fellow colleagues were a friendly bunch.

    • I lived at home so I had no costs.

    • I didn't go out at night and I am living at home
