The Role
The tasks I received were challenging and were amazing ways for me to develop several skills such as presentation, time management, research and problem solving skills.
I have received constant support and guidance. I was made aware of the impact my work will have, as it will represent the basis for further important projects.
Whenever I needed help or had questions I either received an immediate answer or was suggested a person I could talk to about the issues I faced.
Although the internship had a rather slow start, I was soon quite busy with work. Had to learn how to set my priorities and work on my tasks between meetings and calls.
One task made me feel I was given a lot of responsibility as I had to do a presentation to several teams about a project I did not work on. I was entrusted with finding the right people and asking the right questions to gather all the information I need.
The skills I developed had a great impact on my development as a programmer. It was an amazing opportunity and I truly felt I had a taste of what working in industry entails, through all the meetings and activities I was involved in and the tasks I was given.
The Company
Everyone was friendly and supportive and I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness to share their experiences with me and to offer their advice. It was a really warm atmosphere.
We have access to a very large library of financial training and soft skills courses that we can take for free.
