The Role
Really enjoyed my time at KF, lots of effort put in to ensure I enjoyed my time, nothing was too much trouble, I was given work that was actually of value and everyone was so welcoming.
Treated as an equal the whole time I was there. Everyone made sure I was settled and spent time trying to get to know me.
Constantly asking if I was ok, how I was getting on... Any emails with queries where met with detailed responses.
Assigned a project that lasted most of the time, only a couple of days were not planned thoroughly for me.
Given a great deal of responsibility doing work of value, some pieces of work were actually sent off and were to be used for clients.
Gave me an insight into the real working world inside a consultancy firm which was great and got me putting into practice my studies.
The Company
Everyone was always smiling, happy atmosphere. Able to have a joke, was nice a laid back but work also got done.
Project was set for me for my first 3 weeks, knew exactly what I had to do and then I was placed with another member of the team and was well organised. HR also organised events throughout the internship which was great, very thought out and well organised.
Given training on all databases, had a session about how to maximise my impact in a company which I found valuable.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Extremely appealing, seem like a great company to work for.
The Culture
Great social scene. Went out for drinks many times with fellow interns and grads, everyone wanted to get to know eachother.
Cost of living was quite high, I didn't live in the area, commuted from and livied in reading (student house) and it was pretty costly. Socialising in the area was quite pricey - west end in London but the whole of London is expensive so you have to pay it
Number of pubs and bars so all good fun. Good atmosphere.
Got invited to play softball with a few others against another consultancy, but had a HR event so couldn't attend.
