The Role
The whole experience really exceed my expectations of the amount of knowledge and learning I could managed during the internship. I gained a strong exposure to the world of consulting while working for huge clients and having lots of opportunities to network with senior managers.
Throughout the whole internship, I felt valued just like any other full-time employees by being given responsibilities and tasks that often made an impact within the project involved in. My opinion and thoughts were valued and listened to by even senior managers which allowed me to learn even more and improve a huge variety of skills.
The support available to interns was there to make sure we made the most of our placement and tried to satisfy any specific interests or questions we had. The programme was well structured and each intern was assigned a personal buddy which was very useful in terms of guidance, especially in getting used to the office and generally how to make the most out of your experience.
As soon as I was assigned my client project, I was busy with plenty of tasks right from day one! There was a lot of variety in what I was doing so I was never bored or felt overworked. During any times where I felt I could do more, all I had to do was ask and my supervisor/colleagues were always willing to find more daily tasks.
Many of the tasks I was assigned by my colleagues were important meaning I was trusted and given the opportunity to showcase my skills. As I showed positive performance, I was given more and more responsibility which was very important in allowing me to experience as much as possible. I was even given the chance to present to a senior partner which was a great opportunity!
The huge variety of skills, experience and knowledge about the industry gained throughout the internship will be of great help in my future career in the sector. I believe this placement will really give me a huge head start in my graduate job compared to many! My transferable skills such as leadership, communication and presentation were really improved through daily tasks and specific workshops provided. These will not only be important in my future career, but also in successfully completing my university degree.
The Company
The London office was a perfect working environment which, in addition to being a very productive workplace, was also filled with very approachable and friendly colleagues. I felt like I could work hard but also network with people from a variety of areas giving me a greater picture of how the firm operated.
The organisation allowed each intern to get fully involved with an important client in order to make the experience as realistic as possible and similar to working in a graduate job. Interns were also organized social activities, trainings and opportunities to network with senior employees to make the most of the placement.
During my internship, I had the chance to attend professional trainings that developed technical skills relevant in current projects done by the firm. They also organized a variety of workshops that developed very important skills useful in a future career such as confidence and communicating with an impact.

The impressions from my time there were all very positive about career path and development. The opportunities given within their graduate schemes were all very competitive compared to the other Big Four. At the end of the internship, I felt very prepared for my final interview which led to a graduate job offer at the end of university!
The Culture
All the interns were very interesting to get to know and socialised well together. The events organized by the firm were a great support in order to get to know each other and meet outside work time.
Working in the London Office located at Canary Wharf was really amazing but it also meant very high prices in terms of living and socialising costs. Thankfully, the firm often organized social events with free food and drinks for the interns which made the London prices less noticeable during the experience.
Living in London for the period of the placement was a great perk which included all the nightlife and events organized in such a vibrant city.
London was full of opportunities to get involved in together with other interns, which made the internship very enjoyable as well outside of work. The firm also organised dinners outside of working hours just for interns and other senior managers/directors which was great opportunity to ask questions and discuss in a more informal environment.
