The Role
I enjoyed the internship a lot
Highly valued. Especially for an intern.
Exceptional line manager
Extremely busy - given 5 projects on day one
You are responsible for managing your time and expectations and ultimately what you gain from your internship. However, you are unable to complete any business critical tasks as you are not FCA regulated
Immensely competitive and highly regarded internship - will set you up very well for a graduate job.
The Company
Buoyant atmosphere. People want to innovate and do business
The internship was well structured at the start and then the responsibility was placed in your hands going forward (personally a good thing)
Training and development was centered around what desk you were placed on. There was limited training for the entire intern intake after the initial training
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Very good if you perform well and have a supportive team.
The Culture
Yes, however, long days tend to impact the mid-week social scene
Very high as expected in London. I suggest finding a spare room as it is a lot cheaper than student summer hall lets
Good but not as good as the City
Taking part in coroporate responsiblity (charity) projects was highly encouraged. Sporting and social clubs were also accessible to interns.
