The Role
A very enriching and fulfilling experience, giving a valued insight to the people the company hires and the work that they do.
I was treated, with in all reasonable regards, as a fully integrated member if the team I was placed into.
My supervisors were incredibly supportive. Introducing me to colleagues from across the service lines and ensuring my work was as invigorating as possible.
Varied from day to day and is dependant on the project or extra development work I had access to.
There were numerous opportunities where I was given ownership of important work, that went before clients and partners.
My ability to network and interact with people has grown significantly and is a skill that will help no end, no matter what I do.
The Company
Friendly, inclusive and all words leading to that end. I can't stress enough how welcoming all of the people I met were.
I feel the project that I was integrated into could've been thought out a little better, as it wasn't decided on until I was there and it was one that I did not get to see any end result to.
There were several courses and opportunities to that were really helpful for developing ourselves in a business and social sense.
Subsidised Canteen
Very appealing, the placement really showed me how KPMG treats it's people and the people reciprocate this by portraying their enthusiasm for their work.
The Culture
There was not a single opportunity given for me to socialise with any members of staff or anyone on the summer program. This is something that disappointed me.
It was canary wharf, so high expense is almost a given.
As I said above there was no chance to socialise.
I was never made aware of any opportunies outside of work time.
