The Role
Offered alot of responsibily and accountability of roles and tasks to push your out of your comfort zone and develop yourself.
After your prove your very capable you are always offered new responsibilities through different projects.
I can only talk from my own experience and I had a manager and a mentor to help me settle into the business. Entering an engineering environment can be daunting when you are not from that background, but people are always on hand to explain jargon and ensure you understand the concept.
Many day to day jobs and then larger projects to fill any gaps
Once you have settled in your are given tasks and are expected carry out the task using your own initiative. Although guidance is offered when needed.
Received 95 hours of training throughout the year to ensure the development of core skills which i cna then apply to university situations.
The Company
Very relaxed, open environment however very serious when worked needed to be done.
Very well set up however there are rooms for improvement. HR are looking into every opportunity to improve the placement and graduate scheme each year
95 hours of training, subsidised teambuilding day. Alot of time and effort is invested in you to fulfill your potential
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club

International Travel
Company Parties/Events
|Cummins also have a very good graduate scheme here in Stamford which they are looking to improve with every opportunity possible.
The Culture
There were around 20 placements and graduates so there was a very large social group each weekend.
Had the opportunity to live at home for the year
As a local I rate the nightlife however it is a small town. It has many bars and a night club - does not compare to a city.
Organised through social groups e.g. football, pub golf cinema or through the work such as quizes or other events, there was usually something to do each week
