The Role
Very much enjoyed as the internship is well organised and there is a lot of guidance throughout.
Quite valued, they are very patient and spend time with me to teach me a lot of things.
On day to day basis my mentor gives me instructions on how to deal with different kinds of task, really learnt a lot from him.
Some days are very busy and some days I'm just sitting there waiting for the next task to come to me.
My manager and colleagues really trusted me and gave me an enormous amount of responsibility. I was given individual projects as well.
Definitely improved my industry knowledge, excel skills and presentation making skills which are all very valuable for future career development.
The Company
Very quiet and intense
Structure is amazing as we get to do rotations. Although the second rotation is not as busy and rewarding as the first one.
They organised a lot of learning sessions for us to get to know a lot of business areas within the bank.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
International Travel
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
It's changing the leadership team now so there definitely will be some great changes happen in the organisation.
The Culture
Yes there will be an end of internship social event organised by the campus recruitment team. Also interns gather for lunch quite often.
Canary Wharf is a very young area full of interesting places. But the cost of food is high of course.
A lot of bars but no club as I am aware.
Volunteering days, charity events etc. They are optional as long as you have time outside of work.
