The Role
In my role I was given a good amount of responsibility and had enough work to do that I didn't feel bored at any point. My team were also really nice, and everyone I met at Allianz were actually very helpful.
I was asked to stay for an extra 2 months working with the team.
Really good, any questions I had were answered, she helped me to arrange meetings with other teams to gain insight into their work and made sure that I was learning new skills each week.
A good amount of work to do, enough that I wasn't bored but not so much that I struggled. Only a 7/10 though as I think inevitably the first few weeks were a bit slow but that's just as they tested my capabilities really.
I worked with and communicated with key partners, made decisions that affected how we worked and generally was trusted to work fairly independently a lot of the time.
I think I got a really good base for marketing and generally some good transferable management skills.
The Company
Very friendly and quite relaxed, they made a genuine effort to involve me in things.
Once I had started things were better but prior to my starting I received a limited amount of information unless I asked for it. Also during my time here we were told we were going to be completing a project as part of our final assessment but this again didn't happen which was a bit disappointing as I think it might have been a more accurate review of our time here as opposed to simply talking about myself as a presentation.
They made sure that I was learning things as we had to set clear objectives with our line managers which was definitely a positive.

Graduate scheme is very varied which is good however having to do a CII qualification when I'm not sure that insurance is the industry I want to work in is less appealing, in some sense I want to work for Allianz because its Allianz not because Allianz are an insurer.
The Culture
Only really if you are in HO and there are no company organised events outside of work unlike other placements.
As west London it was quite expensive, but I did choose to work in this office I did have another option.
Good nightlife near where I lived but as its only a short placement I didn't get to really try much.
There were some organised by my team but again none organised by the company itself while I was here, but I know other interns did have some activity days.
