The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at KPMG. I found it extremely insightful and a great learning experience.
I felt quite valued by my colleagues as they expressed their gratitude after I completed tasks. At the end of my internship, my manager explained that
I felt I was given some support by management but I would have preferred some more support and more regular feedback to monitor my progress.
I was relatively busy. At the beginning of my internship, I felt I definitely could have been busier but towards the end I had sufficient work.
I was given quite a bit of responsibility. My main responsibilities involved PMO work.
A lot of the organization and people skills that I gained during my placement will assist me in my future career. I learnt a lot about project management and team work as well.
The Company
The general atmosphere was positive and hard-working. Everyone was friendly and pleasant.
I felt the internship was well organised in terms of intern and networking events. We had plenty of opportunities to interact with fellow interns and also to learn about KPMG from managers and partners. However, in terms of work and experience, I feel the internship could have been more organised as there were days when I didn't have a lot to do and I could have been challenged more.
We had the opportunity to complete various training tasks and attend many events so I felt that the company did invest in us.

Future employment prospects are very appealing, KPMG treat their staff well and provide great opportunities for career and self development.
The Culture
There was a great social scene amongst fellow interns and colleagues. There were events twice a week organised for interns and on top of this, my team and colleagues organised team dinners.
The cost of living and socializing was quite expensive in the area.
The nightlife was decent but as we were in London, we didn't need to travel too far for great nightlife.
Not too many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work.
