The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship. I have been able to get involved in many different areas of the business and have been exposed to a wide network within the Branch.
A lot of my colleagues were very friendly from day one and throughout my internship have continued to ensure that I am involved in all aspects of the project and I felt more like a team member than an intern
My manager was always happy to provide me with guidance. She also gave me guidance in a way that meant that it would push me to excel in the work that I did
I have not had a quiet day in the office! Always been busy, but never so busy that I feel so out of my comfort zone.
I was given plenty of responsibility from the first day. I have been involved in many of the customer facing materials that will be sent out to customers once the pilot launches.
I've learnt a lot of presentation and microsoft office suite skills that will be extremely useful for group projects at university. I've also gained an incredible amount of soft skills that I believe will help me through any experience or studies that I choose to do post the internship
The Company
Great atmosphere, friendly vibe
Can't complain. Organisation was impressive, and if I ever needed help the HR team would always respond straight away. Also enjoyed the events they put together
The time my managers and team members have spent with me one on one and also collectively I think is great and has really helped me develop some soft skills. Also working in a team constantly has meant I can always develop skills
Subsidised Canteen
Very appealing. Would like to work here
The Culture
On some occasions yes. Other times, the social scene wasn't great- my own preference though
I lived at home and socialising was usually in the form of after work drinks which could be quite expensive
Didn't experience it
Yes, plenty of sports activities and life skills events which I participated in
