  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship. I have been able to get involved in many different areas of the business and have been exposed to a wide network within the Branch.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A lot of my colleagues were very friendly from day one and throughout my internship have continued to ensure that I am involved in all aspects of the project and I felt more like a team member than an intern

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was always happy to provide me with guidance. She also gave me guidance in a way that meant that it would push me to excel in the work that I did

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I have not had a quiet day in the office! Always been busy, but never so busy that I feel so out of my comfort zone.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given plenty of responsibility from the first day. I have been involved in many of the customer facing materials that will be sent out to customers once the pilot launches.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've learnt a lot of presentation and microsoft office suite skills that will be extremely useful for group projects at university. I've also gained an incredible amount of soft skills that I believe will help me through any experience or studies that I choose to do post the internship

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere, friendly vibe

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Can't complain. Organisation was impressive, and if I ever needed help the HR team would always respond straight away. Also enjoyed the events they put together

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The time my managers and team members have spent with me one on one and also collectively I think is great and has really helped me develop some soft skills. Also working in a team constantly has meant I can always develop skills

  • Very appealing. Would like to work here

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • On some occasions yes. Other times, the social scene wasn't great- my own preference though

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived at home and socialising was usually in the form of after work drinks which could be quite expensive

  • Didn't experience it

  • Yes, plenty of sports activities and life skills events which I participated in
